Brainstorming sole construction
To make such big soles there were some restrictions with materials and processes available and to select the best options some prototyping had to be done to ensure stability, feasibility and looks were as expected.

Construction of the final soles
Choose to use EVA shore 50A for the midsole, Vibram rubber sheet 6mm thickness with wave traction pattern, and a 1.8 mm thickness rubber sheet texturized to create the foxing.
Gluing soles to shoes
Sometimes the needed tools aren't available, but nothing that creativity can't solve. A cardboard box lined with aluminum paper served as the oven to evenly heat up the glue and proceed with the glue up.
